DIY Ornament Using Instagram Photos

Nothing says Christmas quite like family and memories.  These DIY Instagram Christmas ornaments are the perfect way to do both! Get those Instagram photos off your phone and trim your tree! It’s so easy----

And what a great substitute for gift tags!

What you need

-       Glass Christmas ornaments with the removable metal tops

-       Ribbon

-       Ornament filler (tiny metal jingle balls, confetti, etc)

-       Printed Instagram photos

Step 1: Download your Instagram photos so you can get them printed. You can use the program Instaport. Then upload your photos onto your favorite 1-hour photo website.

After trimming the photos to size, remove the metal tops to the Christmas ornament.

To get your photo inside, roll your photo into a small scroll (I wrap it around a pencil) and push it through the opening in the top. Once through it will pop open and unroll. You might have to shake the ornament a bit or poke the pencil in the opening to help stubborn photos.

Next add some of your chosen ornament filler. It adds weight and makes your ornament pop.

Last, replace the metal top and tie a ribbon to the top. It’s easy to trim your tree with memories from each year!
