Ready to feel confident and relaxed during your next photo session? Whether the thought of a photo session gets you excited or makes you cringe, there are some things you can do in preparation for your session that can help you relax and enjoy the experience.
We love to capture your best self, preserve your most memorable moments and life experiences, and make the entire process even more relaxed and enjoyable than you imagine. Read on for some tips to help you shake some of the photo day jitters!
When it comes to deciding what to wear, stick to the basics! Your next photo session is not the best time to try out different styles you don’t usually wear. There are plenty of guidelines for colors and styles that photograph well, but above all else, choose clothes that you feel great in! Your self-confidence will shine through in your portraits!
Accessories are a great way to show off your personality without being too distracting. Avoid branded clothing adorned with logos, writing, and illustrations or busy patterns and stripes. You want people to notice you, not your outfit! If you are a trendsetter, embrace your style and remember to be realistic about where and how long you would like to use your new portraits.
When it comes to hair and makeup, you want to look yourself and feel your best! Complimentary hair & makeup accompanies each full photo session and you will love the impact on your new photos.
Don’t plan to pose. Sometimes, a posed photo works well – but capturing the most genuine personalities does not require stiff poses or even looking directly at the camera! Be yourself and enjoy what you’re doing versus thinking about having your photo taken.
Love yourself as you are. What are you scared of most when taking pictures? Is it a double chin, awkward hands or quirky face? Try not to focus on your insecurities and instead think about something that makes you happy. No need to worry, I’ll pose and light you to your most flattering best.
Sometimes we're ready for positive thinking.
